Charlene - Founder

Charlene has lived experience and has also been using her experience to help survivors rebuild their lives. Charlene was educated up to the age of 16 with one GCSE when she became a young mother. However, she managed to rebuild her life and is now a professional, a homeowner, and also managed to graduate with a first class honours degree in Law. 
Christiana - Events / Fundraising Coordinator 

Christiana is an Events Coordinator, with a history of planning and organising academic research based conferences, community events and political events which contribute towards the future.

Dr. Saira

Saira is a HCPC registered counselling psychologist and human rights advocate. Her special interest is in post-traumatic growth and recovery from complex trauma. She is a member of the SHERA research group and the Domestic Violence/Abuse Working Group within the British Psychological Society. She teaches mindfulness and has a private practice, Mendality.
Laura 

Laura is a dedicated mentor and advocate for women following domestic and post separation abuse. With women’s well-being in mind, she mentors with a commitment to providing a supportive space, offering guidance and signposting women to useful resources as they move towards fulfilling their goals. With a background in Human Resources and Finance and, more recently, working as a copywriter and proof reader, she takes a hands-on approach in assisting women as they work towards rebuilding their lives and gaining financial independence. 
Liza

Liza is a Radio Presenter, Author, Speaker and HR Consultant with lived experience. Her story won Best Factual Series in the 2020 Audio and Radio Industry Awards  and, Best Documentary in December’s BBC Radio and Music Awards. Liza is passionate about eradicating social inequality by fairly representing the under-represented in media. She is also passionate about assisting educational establishments with the improvement of their enrolment and sustainability of survivors on their courses.

Andrea Thornton 

Andrea is an acclaimed filmmaker who is passionate about advocating for the well-being and freedom of women and children. She has a deep understanding of the struggles faced by women, as she supports those who are tirelessly fighting against the challenges of raising children experiencing mental health issues. Her award-winning documentary, 'Attention Please,' has touched the hearts of countless mothers who have reached out to her in search of answers. Through these heartfelt encounters, Andrea has come to the realisation that women are rarely battling for themselves. However, when women help one another, they drive the formidable change needed to help society as a whole.

Mark Fletcher

For Mark, Member of Parliament for Bolsover since 2019, campaigning for improved access to mental health services, supporting victims of domestic abuse and working with those most vulnerable in society has been a lifelong battle. Mark has spoken openly and candidly about his own experience with domestic violence and the impact it had on him at a young age.

Now in Parliament, Mark is a proud member of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Domestic Violence and Abuse and has been a vocal champion for legislation which empowers victims and ensures those in need of support receive this."
